Not Sure Why SEO is Important?
There is a lot of talk about search engine optimization (SEO) these days. SEO is a strategy that aims at increasing a website’s visibility on a search engine, essentially, it raises a site’s search engine ranking. So why is SEO important? On a search engine like Google, there are millions of users that log in daily to conduct a search about any given topic or product to buy. Out of these users, about 75 percent of them never bother to look past the first page of search engine results. That means that millions of websites may never been seen by any users, ever. This is where SEO comes in.
So, how does SEO work? In an SEO company, experts analyze what words users type in a search engine to find what they are looking for. Once these words have been recognized, they take those words and create various ways for users to find these keywords in content on the internet. They use a combination of quality content that can be posted to websites related to a client’s site, and web design to optimize a client’s chance of success. The content contains organic links that, if clicked on, lead back to the client’s website. Since most users click on organic links versus paid advertisements, these backlinks generate greater traffic on client’s website. If more people are visiting a particular website, it begins to gain visibility. Site like Google award these sites with a higher search engine ranking because a site with more traffic typically means that the site is legitimate and high in quality.
The importance of SEO lies in its ability to increase a client’s sales by way of specific internet marketing tools. Many businesses have turned to SEO to push their company to the top of a search engine. A good example of a successfully marketed website would be Wikipedia; it appears in the top 10 results for most search engine queries. Many people reference Wikipedia on their websites via links, which add to the site popularity. In the same way, any business can market their company online and become the first site to appear on a results page.
So, is SEO important? Absolutely.
